GRAPE VARIETY: 100% Merlot.


TRAINING: Spur-pruned cordon-trained (5,000 plants per hectare).

HARVEST: First ten days of September.

VINIFICATION: Maceration and fermentation begin at low temperatures and then the temperature is raised to 24° C. In the first days of maceration, délestage is carried daily and the wine is racked after 10 days.

AGING: When malolactic fermentation is completed, the wine is aged in barrique for roughly 8 months.

AGING POTENTIAL: This wine can be drunk in its youth but it will also evolve over 3-4 years, rewarding the patient wine lover.

COLOR: Intense ruby red

NOSE: A wave of aromas delivers a wide array of persistent sensations. From initial lighter fruits in the beginning to spicy and balsamic notes as the wine evolves, as well as currant, ripe prune, and eucalyptus.

PALATE: Wide, dense, and well structured, smooth on the palate, generous in the mouth with flavor and well balanced with freshness and softness. The healthy alcohol content delivers aromas in an officious and long-lasting sensorial marriage.

PAIRING: Perfect for braised red meats, charcuterie, and aged cheeses.
