The Negroamaro harvest is about to begin…

I’ve been enjoying a few days of rest as we wait to start the second phase of harvest, the most complex and the most important phase given that we will begin picking the grape that represents 50% of our total production, Negroamaro.

It was tough to abandon my t-shirt and Bermuda shorts for a week and change back into my public relations clothes and I was sad to miss the Fiano and Primitivo harvests.

But when I got back from my trip to Zurich, all I had to see was my brother Gianni’s wide smile: I knew that everything went well.

From my first tastings, I can tell you that we’re going to have a great vintage for the Primitivo. The Fiano was also excellent.

Now we’ll see what the next few weeks have in store for us…

Stay tuned!
