Where there is a will there is a way…

Over on the Cantele Flickr, Paolo and team posted the below photo (amazing, no?) yesterday with the following quote:

Se volere è potere, allora volare è potare?

The play on words, comes from a popular twentieth-century Italian saying, volere è potere: where there is a will, there is a way. In other words, anything is possible, if we put our minds to it.

Here’s a translation of the quote, which plays on the rhymes volere/potere and volare/potare.

If there is a way where there is a will, can we learn to fly (volare) by pruning (potare)?

Not as fun to say in English, but you get the point… :)
